Chelsea faced Tottenham Hotspur in their second match of the season at Stamford Bridge. It was a big match for both club and Managers as both recorded wins in their respective first matches.
Coming into the match, Chelsea won the last time they faced each other by two goals to nil. In this article, we shall focus on what happened at the end of the match.
After 90 minutes of play, the match ended as a 2-2 draw. The four goals were scored by Koulibaly, Hojbjerg James and Reece James.
With that said, we shall look into what the Red card given to Tuchel and Conte means including the effects on them as Club managers.
Red Card to managers:
Yellow and Red cards to Managers were brought into the rules to regulate the attitudes of managers at the touchline. When the managers show attitudes which go over the accepted behavior, the referee has the right to book the manager or send them off.
What it means for Tuchel and Conte:
The red card will have not effect on their next match, but will only have effect after 4 Red cards.
If a manager collects four yellow cards, they would receive a one-match ban, eight would result in a two-match ban, 12 a three-match ban and 16 would result in them facing a FA disciplinary panel.
The draw moved Tottenham to 4th position while Chelsea moved to the 7th position. As the season just started, fans and supporters hope to see better from both clubs and managers.
Stay tuned for more.
