Chelsea's Potential lineup If Thomas Tuchel lands his desired targets this summer

The Blues have dominated the headlines this summer for spending £175 million on new acquisitions, but more additions are expected before the close of the transfer window.

Since the take-over of Todd Boehly & Clearlake Capital from Roman Abramovich in May, the West Londoners have signed five players (Raheem Sterling, Carney Chukwuemeka, Marc Cucurella & Gabriel Slonina).

But after Tuchel witnessed his side secure a narrow win over Frank Lampard's Everton, the German tactician knows he needs to bring in more players to strengthen his side to close the gap on Manchester City & Liverpool.

Recent reports have linked the London based outfit with two World class players in Leicester City’s Wesley Fofana & Barcelona's Frenkie De Jong.

Chelsea are reported to be in discussions to secure the signing of both players, Below is how Tuchel could set up his team if he lands Frenkie De Jong & Wesley Fofana.

Goalie: Edouard Mendy

The Senegal international was brilliant in between the sticks against Everton with some brilliant saves to keep the Blues in the match, he's expected to be the first choice goalie despite the recent signature of Gabriel Slonina from Chicago Fire.

Defenders: James, Fofana, Silva, Koulibaly, Chilwell

Cesar Azpilicueta who recently renewed his contract could be the man to drop out of Chelsea's defence, if the Blues signs France international, Wesley Fofana from the Foxes.

The defensive trio of Koulibaly, Silva & Azpilicueta were alert to any danger from the Everton attack & solid.

But Tuchel on the other hand will want to experiment with the back four of Reece James, Wesley Fofana,Thiago Silva, Koulibaly & Chilwell and see how well they perform.

Midfielders: De Jong, Kante

The Stamford Bridge club are blessed with plethora of options in midfield, but Tuchel is looking to add more creativity & quality in the middle, which is bad news for the likes for the likes of Conor Gallagher & Ruben Loftus-Cheek.

The Former European Champions are in talks with the Blaugrana about a move for Netherlands international, Frenkie de Jong & are ready to pay his deferred wages to bring him to the English Premier League.

The Ex-Ajax midfielder could be paired in midfield with French World Cup Winner, Ngolo Kante.

Forwards: Sterling, Mount & Aubameyang.

With Timo Werner's move to RB Leipzig officially confirmed & Romelu Lukaku loan transfer to Inter Milan, Chelsea will need to add to the striking department, with Barcelona forward, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang identified as possible replacement.

The Ex-Arsenal striker is expected to be lined up with England internationals, Mason Mount & Raheem Sterling in attack.
