Three (3) Nigerian Players That Can Solve Chelsea’s Striking Problems

Chelsea have been able to secure just four points in their opening two matches and from the performance of the team, it is visible the blues desperately need a striker to solve their striking woes.

Since the beginning of the new season, Thomas Tuchel has deployed Kai Havertz as a false 9 and it has not been effective as the player has not proved himself at that wing.

However, there are three Nigerian strikers who can solve Chelsea’s striking problems and get those goals for the Blues:

Victor Osimhen:

The Super Eagles striker is once again in the news for a transfer to the Blues. Some reports in Italy have stated a move to London is imminent. The Nigerian will definitely be a perfect replacement to Lukaku.

Odion Ighalo:

The Al Hilal man is another option the Blues can look into. He had a short spell at Manchester United and didn’t perform badly and his style of play will definitely fit-in into Chelsea’s pattern.

Tony Nwakaeme:

One name that’s not that popular but will definitely cause a scare in England if Chelsea can get him. Last season, he had a wonderful season with Trabzonspor in Turkey where he scored 13 goals and guided them in winning the league. He is currently a free agent.
