Manchester united vs Liverpool Match Preview: Team News, Injury List And Potential Lineups

Manchester united versus Liverpool Match Preview.

Manchester United has had a disastrous start to the Premier League season, and despite only two games, they are currently bottom of the table. Last season, they lost both league meetings with Liverpool, conceding nine goals and scoring none. However, Liverpool has had a stuttering start to the season, dropping points against both Fulham and Crystal Palace. If the hosts win their first league game of the season on Monday night, they will finish the gameweek below United in the table. United have been abysmal in their first two games, and while Liverpool haven't fared much better, an away win should get the Reds off to a good start.

Darwin Nunez is suspended after receiving a red card against Crystal Palace on Monday night, so Jurgen Klopp will be hoping for Roberto Firmino to be available to start, especially with Diogo Jota ruled out. Thiago, Joel Matip, Ibrahima Konate, and Alex Oxlade Chamberlain are among the Reds' absentees. Joe Gomez will take over at the heart of Liverpool's defense in place of Nathaniel Phillips.
