CHE VS TOT: Chelsea's Strongest Lineup That Could Defeat Tottenham On Matchday Two Fixture On Sunday



The 2022/2023 Premier League season officially kicked off last week which saw the likes of Chelsea, Tottenham and Man City picking up first win of the season while Man United and Liverpool dropped points.

Chelsea defeated a striker-less Everton 1-0 at the Goodison Park to end their five years winless run at the Toffees home ground. Chelsea will now turned their attention on the London derby clash against Tottenham Hotspur scheduled to take place on Sunday.

Thomas Tuchel will be hoping his Chelsea's side win their first derby game of the Season and also first home game of the 2022/23 campaign.

Chelsea fans will be watching their club for the first time this season at Stamford Bridge as the likes of Kalidou Koulibaly, Raheem Sterling, Carney Chukwuemeka and Marc Cucurella could make first home debut.

Chelsea head coach Thomas Tuchel is expected to name a strong lineup for their EPL opening derby match against Tottenham Hotspur.

The German tactician could line up his team by using this strong formations which includes the top performing players in their EPL opening fixture against Everton.

Goalkeeper; Edouard Mendy:

Edouard Mendy made crucial saves against Everton on Matchday One and capped it off with a crucial clean sheet. He is unarguably tbe favourite to start against Spurs ahead of Kepa Arizzabalga.

Center backs -Thiago Silva and Kalidou Koulibaly

The defensive partnership of Kalidou Koulibaly, Thiago Silva and Cesar Azipilicueta was very strong against Everton, however Thomas Tuchel could revert to a two-man defence against Tottenham.

Kalidou Koulibaly and Silva are undoubtedly the first choice defensive paring ahead of Spurs game.

Full backs- Marc Cucurella and Reece James:

England rightback Reece James is expected play alongside new signing, Marc Cucurella who is tipped to make his home debut on the left-back position.

Ben Chilwell performed below average against Everton which saw new boy Marc Cucurella stealing the show in the second half.

 

Midfielders - Jorginho, Mateo Kovacic and Gallagher:

The midfield trio of Jorginho, Kovacic and Gallagher could start against Spurs due to their fitness level.

Attackers - Mount, Sterling and Havertz:

Mason Mount and Raheem Sterling are Chelsea first choice wingers while Kai Havertz will start as a Striker in the absence of a recognized striker.
