The 10 Most Valuable Players Who Are 34 Years And Older

Angel Di Maria's transfer from Paris Saint-Germain to Juventus as a free agent made him the fifth most valuable player aged 34 years and older. In the Europe top five leagues, only four players who are 34 years and older have more market market Value than Angel Di Maria. The 35-year old Argentine forward Messi has a market value of 50 million Euros and won the 2021/22 Ligue-1 title with Paris Saint-Germain. Karim Benzema who is ranked second on the list has a market value of 30 million Euros. The French forward is currently the favourite to win the Ballon d'or award despite being 34 years old. Benzema had a successful spell in the 2021/22 season, winning the UEFA champions league and the La Liga title. While Cristiano Ronaldo who has the same market value as Karim Benzema finished the 2021/22 season without a trophy. The 37-year old Portuguese winger has declared his intention of leaving the club this summer and he has been linked with Chelsea in this week.

However, Luka Modric who recently extended his contract with the La Liga defending champions is ranked sixth on the list. The Croatian midfielder who is 36 years old has a market value of 10 million Euros. Despite his age, he still finished as Real Madrid's most productive midfielder in the 2021/22 season, beating the likes of Casemiro, Camavinga and Toni Kroos.

Other players who made the ten list has market value below 10 million Euros. Cuadrado, Keylor Navas, Luis Suarez and Ivan Rakitic are the players in question. The Uruguayan striker Suarez is currently a free agent who recently turned down the offer to join River plate. While Keylor Navas has falling down the pecking order at Paris Saint-Germain as Gianluigi Donnarumma is currently the number one goalie in the French club.
