According to Dean Jones, Chelsea are in contact with PSG over the signing of Presnel Kimpembe.
Todd Boehly, the American led consortium who bought Chelsea for £4.25 billion has given Thomas Tuchel the go ahead to sign quality players for the Blues, and Kimpembe is one player Tuchel would want to sign at Chelsea.
Akin to reports, the Blues are said to be in talks with PSG for the signature of £50m highly rated defender Kimpembe.
The 26-year-old has entered the final two years of his £164,000-per-week contract at the Parc des Princes, meaning now would be the perfect time for PSG to recoup his true value.
When asked about the Blues’ interest in Kimpembe, Jones reported: “There’s no doubt at all that Tuchel wants this guy.
“Kimpembe is definitely somebody that they are trying to close in on at the moment.
Kimpembe has not been selected by a head coach more times than Tuchel, with the Frenchman making 80 appearances during the now-Chelsea chief’s PSG reign.
With Kimpembe boasting 220 senior appearances at club level, he would offer vast amounts of experience and potentially be a shrewd acquisition.
