Arsenal had a brilliant start to their pre season fixtures, as they defeated German side, Nurnberg 5-3. Arsenal manager, Mikel Arteta welcomed back some first team players in the friendly ahead of the pre season fixture. Arsenal started on a good note, but weren't clinical in front of goal. Gabriel Jesus put one for Arsenal, a few minutes after he was introduced. Mohammed Elneny, then equalised for Arsenal to level the match, with a few minutes remaining. Arsenal then took the lead, after a humiliating own goal goal from Handwerker. Nurnberg equalised immediately to level the game 3-3. Gabriel Jesus then grabbed his second goal in the 74th minute to give Arsenal the required victory.
